1. Application Scenarios and Design Positioning of Containment Trays

Containment Trays is specially designed for products in forms like Can, Jar, Box, Bottle, and Tub. Its core is to realize the regular stacking and stable protection of products through containment trays. As shown in the diagram, its design logic is to make products of different forms form a neat and compression-resistant unit structure on the pallet, taking into account the stability of warehousing and transportation and the shoppability of in-store display.

2. Core Requirements for Palletized Selling of Weight-Bearing Products

For containment trays palletized products that need to support weight, the following requirements are the "hard thresholds" for compliance: - Shoppability: Products must be shoppable from at least three sides to ensure that members can select products conveniently from multiple directions. - Height Limit: The total unit height (including the pallet) shall not exceed 52 inches to avoid unstable stacking or waste of warehouse space due to excessive height. - No Overhang/Underhang Specifications: Products must not extend beyond the edge of the pallet (no overhang). The total underhang shall not exceed 3 inches, and the unit footprint shall meet the minimum specification of 45”x37”. - Tray Lip Height: Strictly follow the tray lip height requirements shown in the diagram (distinguish between 2-inch and 3-inch minimum lip height according to product height). - Structural Integrity: Taped or stapled corners are not allowed to prevent structural collapse due to the failure of auxiliary materials. If the product packaging deforms when stacked to 52 inches high, Stacking Trays must be used. - No False Bottoms: The "false bottom" design is prohibited to ensure the true stability of the stacking structure.

3. Best Practices: Improve Palletizing Quality in Details

In addition to mandatory requirements, these practical suggestions can further optimize the effect of Containment Trays palletizing: - For smaller selling units, pallet pads and tie sheets may be needed to enhance stability and prevent product displacement during transportation. - Top shipping caps or top sheets are required during transportation to protect the top-layer products and avoid appearance damage due to friction and collision during transportation.

4. Required Reference Sections: Triple Verification of Compliance

To ensure full-process compliance, the following three sections are mandatory references for Containment Trays palletizing and must be checked one by one: - Package Testing Section: Verify whether the packaging meets Sam's specified transportation test standards to ensure the product's damage resistance from the source. - Weight & Height Requirement Section: Clarify the weight and height limits of the product to avoid safety or display issues caused by exceeding the limits. - Unitization & Shipping Section: Standardize the unitization operations (such as bundling and labeling) and transportation processes after palletizing to ensure the entire link from the supply chain to the store is compliant and efficient. Mastering the palletizing specifications of Containment Trays can not only make products such as cans, bottles, and boxes as stable as a rock in Sam's warehousing, transportation, and display links but also convey the brand's sense of quality through professional packaging design. Supplier partners, let's take compliance as the foundation and jointly create a better shopping experience for Sam's members!
